Partner Spotlight: QPR in the Community Trust

December 10, 2025

QPR in the Community Trust is the charitable arm of Queens Park Rangers Football Club, working across seven West London boroughs to deliver education, health, inclusion and community programmes. Since gaining charitable status in 2009, the Trust has used the power of football to inspire and support people of all ages helping children and young people to thrive academically, socially and emotionally, while building stronger, more connected communities.

Our partnership with AllChild

Through our partnership with AllChild, the Education Department at QPR Trust has been able to reach more children who benefit from extra support especially those needing a boost in confidence, engagement, learning motivation or support managing their emotions. Together, we help pupils who might otherwise struggle in traditional classroom

Working with AllChild has strengthened our local school relationships, ensuring our programmes complement wider wellbeing and academic outcomes. It has also helped us identify young people who would benefit most from targeted intervention, linking physical activity and mentoring with academic and emotional support. The collaboration has been a great example of how joined-up working can make a measurable difference in young lives.

The importance and impact of our work

Education is at the heart of what we do. Our programmes blend classroom learning with practical experiences, offering young people multiple routes to success:

  • College Academy – BTEC Level 2 and 3 courses for 16–19 year olds combine sport, education, and personal development. Many participants progress into employment, apprenticeships or higher education, supported by dedicated tutors and coaches.
  • Premier League Primary Stars – In local schools, we deliver lessons in literacy, numeracy and PSHE alongside sport, using football as a fun way to develop confidence, teamwork and resilience.
  • Work Experience Weeks – For older pupils, these programmes introduce real-world skills such as employability, finance, and communication, supported by guest speakers and industry visits.

Across these initiatives, we regularly see improvements in attendance, engagement, and overall wellbeing. Young people report feeling more motivated, confident, and capable — outcomes that directly support AllChild’s social, emotional and academic goals.

Looking ahead

Our next steps focus on strengthening employability pathways and expanding our mentoring offer, particularly in schools where early intervention can have the biggest impact. We’re also developing more opportunities for volunteers and community partners to get involved, whether by sharing expertise in workshops, offering placements, or supporting new education initiatives.

Together with AllChild, we’re determined to ensure that every young person has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed on and off the pitch.

In the community

Through our continued work with AllChild, we have partnered with Tie-Dye Drama (also a partner organisation of AllChild) on our October Soccer Schools. Ella has run drama workshops to diversify our soccer school offer, providing communication skills for participants and encouraging more young people to take part in physical activity in the school holidays.

together, every child and young person can flourish.
