AllChild CEO Louisa Mitchell MBE Wins Women in Education Award at the 2025 Women of the Year Awards

October 13, 2025
“I am honoured to receive this award which reflects the incredible work and dedication of our fantastic AllChild team, our local and national partners, our supporters, and, of course, the children and families we work with every day."

AllChild is incredibly proud to share that our CEO, Louisa Mitchell MBE, has been recognised at this week’s 2025 Women of the Year Awards, receiving the Student.com Women in Education Award.

Upon receiving the award from Carol Vorderman, Louisa expressed her heartfelt gratitude to Student.com and everyone involved in the nomination and selection process, accepting the award on behalf of the whole AllChild community - our team, partners, supporters, and the children and families we work with - emphasising that this recognition reflects a collective effort.

“I am honoured to receive this award which reflects the incredible work and dedication of our fantastic AllChild team, our local and national partners, our supporters, and, of course, the children and families we work with every day,” Louisa said. “We started almost ten years ago, then as West London Zone, with a big vision – that every child should have the support and opportunities they need to flourish in their school and community. Since then, we’ve grown into a much larger organisation, with a much wider network and reach, but our vision hasn’t changed - and it really does take all of us.”

Louisa also used the occasion to spotlight the growing challenges facing young people, particularly girls, and the importance of early, relationship-based support.

‘’I think it’s fantastic to recognise women’s achievements, and I really hope today’s event inspires many more women of the future... At the moment, we’re hearing more and more from young people who are struggling with their mental health in ways that affect their confidence, learning, and everyday lives.

What young people need is early support that’s proactive, not reactive once things get really tough. That involves having strong, trusted relationships around them. And that involves real, positive opportunities... in school, at home, and in their communities.”

Louisa closed by dedicating the award to AllChild’s mission and the wider movement for change:

“Thank you again for honouring AllChild with this award. I hope it will shine a light on the urgency of our mission with young people, and with their families and communities too, because no one should have to navigate today's challenges in isolation. Especially when the right support, at the right time, and in the right way, can enable real lasting change.... for children, families and communities.”

AllChild congratulates Louisa on this well-deserved recognition and thanks all our partners and supporters for continuing to work alongside us to create communities where every child has the support and opportunities they need to flourish.
